Kotak Mahindra Bank (3rd largest private bank in India) was dealing with large queues outside their branches of people wanting to open banking account and deposit their cash holdings. The existing onboarding process was paper based and time consuming, which meant the bank was losing out on thousands of new customers and revenue.
Solution
Decimal developed and deployed a completely digital and integrated self-customer onboarding solution to onboard customers for Savings Account products using real-time eKYC, digital KYC, and ‘IndiaStack’ – an open API based technology stack, leveraging digital government data services such as National ID to authenticate customers using biometric as well as mobile based OTP authentication.
